neu.vochord

neu.vochord is a Max for Live device combining a dual-filter-response vocoder with an automatic pitch following oscillator and algorithmic chord generator.

The oscillator features 3-voice unison, 4 waveforms and follows the input pitch accurately at a sub-semitone level using a very lightweight ML powered pitch estimator pesto~. This is paired with an continuously shifting chord generator algorithm, designed around producing cadences from the circle of fifths, creating beautiful progressive chord sequences. Chord voicings also evolve and can be set to closely follow the pitch of the input signal. All this is modulated by the vocoder, with a choice between resonant and cascaded filter response for distinct timbral character and spectral envelope.
All parameters are fully mappable in Live to produce endlessly evolving sounds.
